This microwave cake is the ultimate quick dessert! Ready in just 10 minutes, it’s moist, fluffy, and topped with a creamy vanilla frosting. A lifesaver for birthdays or when you need a sweet treat fast.
Equipment
- 1 Silicone cake tray
Ingredients
Cake Batter
- 85 g soft unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup greek yogurt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup milk room temperature
- 18 tbsp flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
Frosting
- 170 g butter room temperature
- 175 g powdered sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp sprinkles
Instructions
Cake Batter
- In a bowl combine sugar, butter and vanilla.
- Add milk and yogurt and mix.
- Sieve in the flour and and baking powder. Mix well.
- Transfer the batter to cake mold and smooth it out.
- Bake in microwave for 5-8 minutes.
- After 5 minutes check to with a skewer to see if its baked, if not add the extra 3 minutes.
- Let it cool down completely once baked.
Frosting
- In a bowl add butter and vanilla.
- Using a handheld mixer beat until butter if fluffy.
- Gradually add the sugar while mixing it.
- If you feel that the frosting is to hard add a couple tbsp of fresh cream or milk.
Assembly
- Remove cake from the tray.
- Spread frosting all over it.
- Add some sprinkles for decorating.
