Soft and Fluffy Yogurt Bread Recipe – Easy Homemade Bread
This homemade yogurt bread is soft, fluffy, and lightly sweet. It’s simple to make, full of flavor, and perfect for breakfast, snacks, or as a side to any meal.

- 1 Standing Mix with Hook
Ingredients
- 350 g flour
- 50 g sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/3 tsp salt
- 4 g instant yeast
- 130 g greek yogurt
- 90 ml milk
- 25 g butter
- 1 egg yolk
- sliced almonds to taste
Instructions
- In a mixer bowl add flour, sugar, milk, yogurt, egg, salt and yeast.
- With the hoo attachment in the mixer beat until the dough has come together and smooth.
- Lastly add the butter and continue to mix until butter is fully incorporated.
- The dough should be sticky and soft.
- Cover and let it rest for about an hour in a warm place or until it doubles in size.
- Once risen transfer to a lightly floured bench and divided into 8 parts.
- Shape each part into a ball, cover and let it rest for another 15 minutes.
- Once again lightly flour your bench and roll out each part of the dough to the same width as your baking tray.
- Roll it into a log and place it in a lined baking tray with baking paper.
- Repeat with a parts of the dough and placing i side by side in the tray.
- Cover and let it rest for another 40-50 minutes.
- Once risen lightly brush it with a beaten egg yolk.
- Sprinkle sliced almonds over it.
- Bake it in hot oven 170C | 306 F for about 25 minutes.
