Easy Homemade Stuffed Bread with Cheese and Scallions
A quick and fluffy homemade bread stuffed with gooey cheese, butter, and scallions—this easy recipe is perfect for any time of day.
Equipment
- 1 Round Tray
- 1 Mixing bowl
Ingredients
- 250 flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp instant yeast
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- 125 ml warm milk
- 1 egg
- butter for the filling
- scallions
Instructions
- In a large bowl add flour, salt, sugar, instant yeast, milk, egg and butter.
- Mix well until there are no lumps.
- Cover and let it rise for 1 hours and 30 minutes.
- Transfer to a floured bench and roll it out into a round shape of about 40cm.
- Brush melted butter, cover with cheese and sprinkle the scallions.
- With a sharp knife or a pizza slicer cut into 16 slices – like if you were cutting a pizza.
- Roll each slice from the outer edge in to form a small roll.
- Lay side ways over a round floured tray.
- Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Brush with a yolk.
- Bake in pre heated oven 180C | 356F for about 25minutes.
