- 600 g chicken wings and thighs
- oil for frying
Marinate
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp organo
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried mustard
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic salt or garlic powder
- 1 tsp powdered ginger
Coating
- 2 cup flour
- 2/3 tbsp salt
- 1/2 tbsp thyme
- 1/3 tbsp oregano
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp dried mustard
- 4 tbsp paprika
- 2 tbsp garlic salt
- 1 tbsp powdered ginger
- 3 tbsp white pepper
Marinate
In a large bowl mix together all the ingredients for the marinate.
Add the chicken mix well to coat, cover.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Longer the better.
Preparing the Chicken
Once chicken has marinated remove the excess liquid.
Coat each piece of the chicken by pressing on the coating.
Press it well so a thick coating covers the chicken.
Repeat with all pieces and set aside.
Frying
Heat up the oil to medium high.
Fry the chicken for about 8-10 minutes.
Larger pieces may require longer cooking time.
