Equipment
- 1 Pipping bag with star end
- 1 hand held mixer
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- oil for cooking
Coating
- sugar
- cinnamon
Instructions
- In a bot mix water, butter, sugar and salt and bring to a boil.
- Once starts to boil reduce he heat.
- Add the flour and quickly mix so the flour is fully cooked.
- Remove and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Transfer to a bowl and add vanilla and egg.
- Beat with a hand held mixer until fully incorporated.
Coating
- Mix sugar and cinnamon and set aside.
Frying the Churros
- Heat up oil in a shallow pan.
- Use a piping bag using a star shape end.
- Pipe it over the hot oil and cut with a pair of scissors when its about 20cm long.
- Fry until nice and golden.
- Remove the excess oil and coat with sugar and cinnamon.
