Ingredients
- 600 g chicken wings and thighs
- oil for frying
Marinate
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp organo
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried mustard
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic salt or garlic powder
- 1 tsp powdered ginger
Coating
- 2 cup flour
- 2/3 tbsp salt
- 1/2 tbsp thyme
- 1/3 tbsp oregano
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp dried mustard
- 4 tbsp paprika
- 2 tbsp garlic salt
- 1 tbsp powdered ginger
- 3 tbsp white pepper
Instructions
Marinate
- In a large bowl mix together all the ingredients for the marinate.
- Add the chicken mix well to coat, cover.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Longer the better.
Coating
- Mix all ingredient and set aside.
Preparing the Chicken
- Once chicken has marinated remove the excess liquid.
- Coat each piece of the chicken by pressing on the coating.
- Press it well so a thick coating covers the chicken.
- Repeat with all pieces and set aside.
Frying
- Heat up the oil to medium high.
- Fry the chicken for about 8-10 minutes.
- Larger pieces may require longer cooking time.
