Rustic Italian Pizza Recipe – Easy No-Roll Dough & Custom Toppings
This Rustic Italian Pizza is a quick and easy twist on the traditional pie. Made with puff pastry and customizable toppings, it’s perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.
Equipment
- 1 large tray 35x40cm
- baking paper
Ingredients
- 4 large puffy pastry sheets
- eggs yolks for brushing
Filling
- tomato sauce
- grated mozzarella
- fresh mozzarella
- ricotta
- black olives
- tomatoes
- ham
- fresh basil
- oregano
Instructions
- line a tray with baking paper.
- add the first sheet of puffy pastry.
- spread some of the tomato sauce over it.
- add cheeses, ham, tomatoes, olive, fresh basil, oregano and dried basil.
- cover with another layer of pastry.
- with a sharp knife make several straight cuts on he pastry.
- brush with egg yolk.
- add the last layer of pastry.
- tuck the pastry edges in or push to join with the layers below.
- brush with yolk.
- bake in hot oven 190C | 374F for 40 minutes

If you can find large sheets of puffy pastry or in rolls you can join two sheets together if making a large pizza.
