  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 pot

Ingredients
  

  • 500 ml milk
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • pinch salt
  • 2 1/2 tbsp cornflour
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp butter

Instructions
 

  • In a mix bowl combine egg yolks, eggs, sugar, cornflour and a pinch of salt.
  • Whisk it to form a cream and set aside.
  • In a pot bring milk to a boil.
  • Once milk has boiled slowly pour half of it over the cream mixture whisking it quickly to combine.
  • Transfer the mixture to the pot with the remaining milk.
  • Over mediam heat whisk it for about 1-2 minutes to form a thicker cream.
  • Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla extract while still hot and mix until the butter is fully incorporated.
  • Transfer to a bowl, cover it with plastic film just touch the cream and refrigerate it.
