Easy Preserved Onion Recipe with Olives and Herbs

Equipment

  • 1 Glass jar with lid

Ingredients
  

  • 14 Small Onions
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Salt
  • 1 tbsp Dried Basil
  • 1 tbsp Oregano
  • 1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Apple Vinegar
  • Olives
  • 2 Garlic Clove
  • Chilli
  • 1 Spring of Fresh Thyme
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • Olive Oil

Instructions
 

Baking the Onions

  • Set oven to high
  • Wrap onions in 2 layers of aluminium foil tightly.
  • Bake for 1 hour.
  • Once baked remove from heat and let it cool down.

Preparation

  • Once onions are completely cool, remove from foil and peel.
  • Slice off the root at the end.
  • They should be soft and petals should be separating easily.

Combining

  • In a jar with lid combine all ingredients
  • Cover with olive oil.
  • Mix everything.
