Easy Homemade Tuna Pastry with Puff Pastry
This simple homemade tuna pastry recipe uses canned tuna and puff pastry to create a delicious, creamy, and savory snack in no time.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 small onion chopped
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 can tuna
- 1/2 cup sweet corn
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 1/2 cup grated mozarela cheese
- 3 sheet puffy pastry
- 1 egg yolk for brushing
Instructions
- In a pan melt butter.
- Add onions and garlic and cook until fragrant and onion is translucent.
- Add flour and cook for a few minutes.
- Add half of the milk, mix and then add the remaining half.
- Add tuna without the oil then add corn and peas.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and cook until it thicker.
- Set aside and let it cool down.
- Roll out a sheet of puffy pastry and divide in half.
- Place about 2 tbsp of the tuna filling over the pastry and fold it over.
- With a fork crimp the edges of the pastry.
- Brush with an egg yolk.
- Bake in pre heated oven 180C | 356F for about 20 minutes or until golden.
